Mysterious Graffiti Legend Banksy

Today we look at just a small sample of graffiti art from the mysterious legend that is Banksy.

If you don’t know the real identity of the world’s most legendary graffiti artist don’t worry, nobody knows who he is!

“Banksy is an anonymous England-based street artist, vandal, political activist, and film director. His satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humor with graffiti executed in a distinctive stencilling technique”. Wikipedia

 Banksy works have been featured on street bridges, walls of cities throughout the world.

His art is often prolifically political and powerful and then others, as you see in the slide show below, reflects the innocence and imagination of childhood.

In October of 2013, Banksy fans delighted in his month-long “Better Out Than In” artist in residency.

Banksy unveiled at least one work of art daily, documenting it on both a dedicated website and an Instagram account.

Central Park Pop Up

During this, he held a one-day Central Park pop-up stall selling “100% authentic original signed Banksy canvases”, for $60 each and had an elderly man run the stand.  

The booth was up all day with only three lucky buyers and eight paintings sold, each of those Banksy paintings are now estimated at $200,000 plus. Watch a clip on it from ABC news below and keep your eyes out for intriguing art stands…
