Use the string to tie a knot around the pine cone near the top (at the stalk end).
A pipe cleaner will also work.
2.) Next, using the butter knife, spread the peanut butter along the inside of the pine cone and around the edges.
Now spread a little bit of the peanut butter over the plate.
3.) Finally, hold the pine cone over the plate and sprinkle the birdseed over it.
Lastly, roll the pine cone in any birdseed that has fallen on the plate.

The Final Three Steps
Now it’s time to attach your pinecone so that it can hang!
1.) First, take your scissors to cut a long piece of string to hang the bird feeder.
2.) Now use the string to tie a knot around the pine cone near the top (at the stalk end).
3.) Lastly, pick a place in your backyard that’s safe from predators.
It should be– at least 3 m off the ground and at the end of a tree branch.
Voila! Your ready to fang your bird feeder and enjoy bird watching?
*Take your bird feeder down at night so rats or mice don’t get to it.
During springtime you won’t get many birds using the feeder as natural food sources will be readily available again.
