The Longest Town Names

Ever come across an oddly spelled town name and wonder how you would pronounce it? Welcome to the small Welsh village “Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch” in Whales.

Watch in amazement as Welsh weatherman Liam Dutton seamlessly pronounces this unusual 58 letter town name. Local Residents may not get a lot of mail with a town name like that, but we bet it’s a nice quiet close-knit community.

The longest town name in Canada “Pekwachnamaykoskwaskwaypinwanik Lake“  seems short in comparison with only 31 letters. The small lakeside town in northeastern Manitoba name is Cree for “where the wild trout are caught by fishing with hooks.”
