Travel back through television time with this classic Disney cartoon from 1935. Silly Symphony “Music Land”.

Silly Symphony is a series of 75 animated short films produced by Walt Disney Productions from 1929 to 1939.  It is not a continuing story plot, instead, new characters are introduced in each short film. There is no dialogue but each episode is scored with whimsical classical & instrumental music.

The series introduced the world to the multi-plane motion picture camera, technicolor, and Donald Duck, as he made his debut appearance in the series

In this episode, the princess violin from the sleepy Land of Symphony is chased by an alto saxophone from the Isle of Jazz. This episode is said to have been inspired by Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet”.
