Schoolhouse Rock: Four-Legged Zoo

This retro, catchy 1973 SchoolHouse Rock song “Four-Legged” Zoo animated music video is a fun way to learn about multiplication tables.

A school class visits a zoon on a field trip and it cleverly uses the legs of the animals to multiply by four.

David McCall was inspired to create the SchoolHouse Rock series by one of his young sons who was having trouble learning in school but knew all the lyrics to then-current rock songs.

” I’ll take a lion (one times four)He’s got four legs and maybe a roarGimme two camels, that’s two times fourEight legs walking across the desert floor!”  – Four Legged Zoo
