Disney Masterpiece – Fantasia
Have you seen the magical, timeless Disney masterpiece scored to classical music? Fantasia is a must-see Disney masterpiece released in 1940.
The award-winning film is unique in itself, consisting of two separate animated films, as well as an educational demonstration of live orchestra instruments using visualizations.
Interestingly, for this film Fantasia, the animation was created first. Followed by scoring the second half with classical music to fit the film.
The first film is a whimsical and enchanting montage of scenes that will delight all ages. It is scored to the famous classical piece “Dance Of The Sugarplum Fairies.”
The animation was drawn to match the music.
The second film has a curious Mickey Mouse playing the stern Sorcerer’s apprentice, and mayhem ensues.
