When the air gets chilly, trees start showing off their beautiful colors—reds, oranges, and yellows!

But why do leaves change color? It’s like a secret nature trick! 🍁

During the summer, leaves are hard at work making food for the tree using sunlight and a green chemical called chlorophyll.

But when autumn arrives and the days get shorter, the leaves take a little break. 🍃

The green fades away, and the hidden yellows, reds, and oranges come out to play!

The cool fall air and less sunlight tell the trees it’s time to get ready for winter, and the colorful leaves drop off to make room for next spring’s new green leaves. Pretty neat, huh?

So next time you see a bright red or orange leaf, you’ll know it’s nature’s way of celebrating the beautiful Fall season! 🎨🍂

With a total of 6,000 photos to weave it all together to create the stop-motion.

This video was created by artists Kelli Anderson and Daniel Dunnam for a new app for children called “Plants”.

The app found on Tinybop aims to help kids understand that the forest is a system—making nature’s cause-and-effect patterns discernible through interactive play.

The easy and visual charts he designed were a big hit and he began to create more charts on a variety of topics including nautical history, shipwreck charts, and even shark prints. When Jack passed on Ryan took over Sea lake Products to honor his father’s legacy
