This Thanksgiving cootie catcher printable is a playful way for kids to explore silly actions, gratitude prompts, and quick Thanksgiving-themed tasks.
It adds excitement to classroom activities, family gatherings, or festive warm-ups during the holiday season. Kids simply fold, choose a number, and reveal a fun surprise hidden beneath the flap. 🍁
Below are the folding steps exactly as written, lightly formatted so they read clearly while keeping every instruction intact.
Folding Instructions
Fold your square paper in half diagonally to make a triangle. Open it, then fold it diagonally the other way. You now have two creases that cross in the center.
Lay the square flat. Bring each corner into the middle point where the creases meet. You should now have a smaller square.
Flip the paper over. Fold each corner into the center again to make an even smaller square.
Fold the square in half horizontally and open it. Fold it in half vertically and open it. These folds help the fortune teller move smoothly.
Turn the paper over so the flaps face up. Slip your fingers under the four pockets on the back. Pinch the sides together to pop it into its 3D shape.
Open and close the fortune teller by pinching your fingers. You’re ready to reveal a fun Thanksgiving task. 🦃
Example Sequence
The player picks “4.” You spell out “F–O–U–R” while opening and closing the fortune teller. New numbers appear, and they pick “7.” You move the fortune teller 7 times. Then they choose a final number. You lift that flap and reveal the Thanksgiving prompt underneath. 🍂
